where it started

My own family

I started with old photos of my grandparents and of relatives we had lost.

Me as a kid, one of the first photos I brought back.

the ads

The ads

Two of the Meta ads I made and ran. Sound on.

the bigger idea

Voices

Letting the people we’ve lost tell their own stories: voices recreated with ElevenLabs, and an agent that talks like my grandfather.

what didn’t work
  • Customers kept their family photos private, so there was little to show.
  • One or two photos of a person isn’t enough for a convincing video.
  • Closed tools on a small PC: thin margins.
what I learned
  • I called it early. Soon after, almost every platform shipped the same feature.
  • Open source gives control. That’s where my love for AI really started.
